Crane collapses on Balfour resi tower

 A driver suffered serious head injuries when a used tower cranes collapsed on Balfour Beatty��s 43-storey Providence Tower site london��s Docklands.

It’s currently unclear regardless of if the collapsed luffing crane failed or was hit by another tower crane while in the out-of-service position.

The 35-year-greybeard was rushed to hospital following the incident on Friday afternoon.

The HSE is examining situations surrounding the incident.

Balfour said in a very statement: ��We could confirm an incident occurred yesterday afternoon involving a tower crane on our Providence Tower construction site.

The HSE has been informed and now we have undertaken preliminary investigations into the incident.

this incident triggered a part from the project team being delivered to hospital.

It will be inappropriate to comment further at the moment.

The project for developer Ballymore was Balfours starting recent win in the London skyscraper market.

Construction started last summer and is due to finish in December 2015.
