Croydon traffic woe as crane removal road closures still in place

 Readers are supposed to be gridlocked in central Croydon again to be a bridge crane snapped by lightning is slowly removed from the Island development site.

And also the northern end of Wellesley Road, closures are have place between Station Road and St James�� both ways and so on St James Road from Tavistock Route to the junction with Whitehorse Road.

Road closures will be in area for a 2nd day throughout the tower block construction within the corner of St James’ Road and Wellesley Road.

Meanwhile, at East Croydon there’s frustration as all ticket machines are down because of network failure.

TFL have said on Twitter the prospective end for the closures are midnight tonight.

Southern Rail hopes to get normal service resumed as fast as possible.
