Windhoist goes to Africa
Windhoist, the international wind energy facility lifting arm of Ireland’s McNally used cranes Hitre, has opened two new businesses, in Morocco and South Africa, mainly because it takes on a few projects across Africa.
Managing director Hugh McNally said: “The wind information mill in its infancy in Africa, but has already been showing great potential. Windhoist continues to be involved in wind mill erection for nine years, and is particularly very happy to be concerned in Africa with this early stage using skills and machinery from your base in Irvine.”
The corporation happens to be working on the construction of a wind energy facility in Tarfaya, western Morocco. Your website can have 131 Siemens turbines once complete, producing enough electricity to power greater than 150,000 homes.
Windhoist has previously erected wind generators across Western Europe and Australia. The organization employs 85 staff in Africa, composed of a mixture of UK workers and local, subcontracted labour.
